Jay North

Jay North (born August 3, 1951) is an American actor, best known for his role as the mischievous but lovable Dennis the Menace in the CBS sitcom of the same name, which aired from 1959 to 1963. He was chosen from approximately 15,000 child actors who auditioned for the part.

His early success on "Dennis the Menace" led to further acting roles. After the series ended, he continued to work in television, appearing in shows like "The Lucy Show," "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," and "My Three Sons." He also transitioned to voice acting, providing voices for animated characters.

While North found early fame, he faced challenges navigating the transition from child stardom to adult actor. He has spoken about the pressures and difficulties he experienced during his youth and the adjustments he had to make in his career. He later worked outside of acting.
